For a completely flat, non-slip surface, the honed (polished) Kandla Grey Indian paving patio pack is a perfect choice. This colour tends to be the most uniform of the natural stone range with a tonal variation of greys making the majority of the stone.

The polished Kandla Grey is a very porous stone so we highly recommend applying a sealant to prevent too much moisture-absorbing.

Kandla or Grey sandstone contains natural iron which may oxidise and appear as brown marks. This may never occur, if it does occur there are products that can help remove it or it can be left to fade itself and it may affect some flags more than others. The iron is normally found within grey sandstone from any supplier and is not classed as a fault.

  • Available in 22mm Calibrated slabs for easier handling, laying and jointing.
  • Honed surface for a sleek modern finish.
  • Stunning tonal greys offer great uniformity for a natural stone.

Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
