Bradstone Sandstone Paving is quarried from different geographical locations and has been especially selected for its durability, texture and breathtaking natural colours. It is naturally split with riven surfaces and finished with age-old hand-dressing techniques. Each individual paving stone is unique in its natural beauty with its own vibrant colourways, texture and shape. It's natural colour variations in Natural Sandstone that make it so covetable. Look closely and you will see subtle shade variations both within and between different stones. It makes for a truly entrancing look which is further enhanced by differing riven profiles of each stone. You should always lay Natural Sandstone with the larger side on the top.

Bradstone have been helping people transform their gardens since 1956. Bradstone was established in 1902 originally as from the family company of E H Bradley and Sons.

With operations still from one of their original sites in the Cotswolds. An area of England famous for the beauty of its historic villages, the natural stone quarried there is characterised by its soft yellow colour that is still used in our products today.

British made concrete, natural Indian sandstone and ultra modern porcelain  are all Bradstone staples.

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
