The Ocean Kota Blue patio pack has a consistent blue blend of Indian limestone paving from LSD. The smokey Kota blue colour works well when mixed with black accessories such as cobbles. This is a popular kind of Indian stone and it is used in many restaurants, bars and in the home.

The surface finish of limestone is a similar look to that of an orange peel, very slightly textured. The side of the slabs almost has an acrylic waxy look to it. This in no way means the paving isn't hard. Limestone basically means any rock formed mostly of calcium carbonate.

The paving slabs were mined from the Kota region in India the surface finish is classed as natural and the 4 edges have been hand dressed to give a natural finish as opposed to a sawn edge. Durable and longevity are words that would describe paving well.

  • A consistent smokey blue blend brings a uniquely stunning finish to your patio.
  • Can be bought in both mixed and single-sized packs giving you plenty of options.
  • Very slightly textured providing great anti-slip properties.

Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
