Grey Sandstone walling is perfect for decorative walls and compliments Kandla grey paving greatly. The wall should have varying tones of grey and work well as a contrast to light or dark, white or black paving colours. Please note the thickness is not calibrated and varies between 55 - 75mm, 65mm on average.

Kandla or Grey sandstone contains natural iron which may oxidise and appear as brown marks. This may never occur if it does occur there are products that can help remove it or it can be left to fade itself and it may affect some flags more than others. The iron is normally found within grey sandstone from any supplier and is not classed as a fault.

  • Made up of varying tones of grey for a natural yet modern look that works well with our Kandla grey paving.
  • Handcut edges make these blocks perfect for those wanting a more old-school vibe.
  • Available in three different sizes providing a bigger range of design options.

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
