Kandla Grey tumbled sandstone walling is a new addition to our natural stone walling range. This is the same as the Kandla grey walling but a tumbling process has been applied to each block leaving the rough edges and surfaces smoother. The blocks are left looking like they have been part of a wall for 10 or more years. If you are wanting a more rustic old town look to your garden area then these would be perfect. Please note the thickness is not calibrated and varies between 55 - 75mm, 65mm on average.

Kandla or Grey sandstone contains natural iron which may oxidise and appear as brown marks. This may never occur if it does occur there are products that can help remove it or it can be left to fade itself and it may affect some flags more than others. The iron is normally found within grey sandstone from any supplier and is not classed as a fault.

  • The perfect match to our popular Kandla grey paving.
  • A tumbled finish gives these blocks so much charm and character.
  • Available in 3 different sized blocks allowing you to make the perfect wall for your garden.

Sandstone

Sandstone is a sedimentary rock that is most often composed of quartz sand, although sometimes they can be formed of feldspar. Sandstone is one of the most popular stones for garden paving, this is due to its strength, durability and also the different types of finishes and natural colours that it has meaning that it can be adapted to suit any type or style of garden.

You can get Sandstone paving with a variety of different surface finishes. One of the finishes you can get with sandstone is a riven finish, this finish gives the stone more of a textured, rustic look. This type of finish is the first finish you get from the natural stone once the stone is sheered apart. This process occurs when the stone is originally cut from the block and sheered apart and thus giving a riven finish along the vein of the rock.
